VISITING HOT SPOTS

You have your new ‘wireless’ laptop and can’t wait for the opportunity to go to Panera Bread (or some other location which has a ‘hot spot’) to try it out.  Or perhaps you have an ‘older laptop... Have no fear, you can just buy what’s called a PCMCIA board which just slips into the slot on the side of your computer.  

First... What is a ‘HOT SPOT’?  It is an area like an airport, hotel, restaurant, etc. which has an always on ‘internet network’ which allows your computer access (usually for free) to the internet.  There’s only one catch... You could have a security issue.  I suggest you visit the following web site and do a little homework before you get into trouble.
